A meeting held today in the city of Baledweyne, the center of Hiraan region, by the various sections of the community of the Hawadle community led by traditional elders, politicians, academics, and the youth of the Hawadle community has announced a general meeting that will take place in the city of Baledweyne.
Some of the intellectuals of the Hawadale community who spoke briefly to the media said that a general meeting to discuss the future of the community will take place in Beledweyne on August 11.
The elders who spoke to the media said that the meeting was announced by the head of the Hawadale community, Ugas Yusuf Ugas Hassan Ugas Khalif, who recently returned to Baledweyne after being away for more than a year.
“There will be a general meeting on the 11th of this month to discuss the fate of the community after the 1st meeting that was concluded in Nairobi, Kenya. The meeting is a follow-up to the meeting in Nairobi. All intellectuals from around the world will participate,” said one of the intellectuals from the Hawadle community who spoke to the media.
In any case, the conference which is scheduled to be held in Baledweyne on the 11th of this month is expected to yield positive results regarding the challenges facing Baledweyne as a result of the resignation of Ali Jeyte, which caused Baledweyne to be declared a devolved administration. Hiran State, which is chaired by Ali Jeyte Osman and also other concerns of the community about the positions they hold in the federal government of Somalia which they have already said are not qualified for the community.
