The Somali Olympic Committee has suspended the chairman of the Somali Athletics Federation, Khadijo Aden Dahir.
The reason for her suspension, it was said, after she was accused of abuse of power and favoritism to appoint Sahro Abukar as the athlete representing Somalia in the running competition in China.
The Olympic Committee, which is implementing an order issued by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, which ordered them to suspend the athletics commissioner, said that an investigation they conducted found that Sahro Abukar had nothing to do with athletics.
The committee said that the scandal that arose from the results of the 100m race that Sahro took part in in China, the competition between universities, is unacceptable.
