The 63rd anniversary of the independence of the Southern Regions from the Italian colony and the union of the Northern and Southern regions of Somalia on July 1, 1960 was held last night in Las-Aanod, the capital of Sool region.
The event was attended by members of the two houses of the Somali Parliament, intelligence, cultural heritage, the administration of Las-Aanood City, youth, women, and various sections of society.
The mayor of Las-Aanod, Abdirahin Ali Omar Ismail, who spoke at the forum, said that he is proving that he is one of the Somali people, and he pointed out that what is being killed is to leave Somalia, but that is not possible.
Also, the Second Deputy Speaker of the Upper House, Abdullahi Ali Hirsi (Timacadde) who spoke at the event said that it is necessary for the Isimada SSC to be completed by the SSC Administration as soon as possible.
“I am happy that today the Northern regions, especially the SSC regions, are celebrating the unity of Somalia. This message to the President of Somalia is, the men of the government who cannot go to Hargeisa and Burco, who are shouting from Hamar that what is wrong with us is not good. ahan” said the second deputy chairman of the Upper House Assembly, Abdullahi Ali Hirsi.
Garad Abdisalan, one of the SSC Guards, said that it is an act of execution that Somaliland bombards the city at night, and he underlined that if it is the SSC Regions, they have one enemy and that is the administration of Muse Bihi, as stated by Garad Abdisalan.
