An order issued by Ali Jeyte Osman, who claimed to be the interim leader of the Hiran State administration, has been closed for 4 days at the Ugas Khalifa airport in Baledweyne.
The order issued by Ali Jeyte was that no aircraft will land at Ugas Khalif Baledweyne airport except ATMIS and the one that brings the cargo.
There are no civilian flights that have taken off from the Ugas Khalifa airport, and this has led to the implementation of the order of Ali Jeyte Osman, who was recently removed from the post of the Hiran region’s governor by the president of Hirshabelle.
This order is related to the rivalry between the financial resources of the Ugas Khalifa Airport and other tax offices, and it is likely that there will be a fight over the financial resources, especially the tax offices, if the current dispute continues.
On the other hand, a statement issued by the Ministry of Transport and Aviation of the Hirshabelle regional government described the order issued by Ali Jeyte as false, and said that he is working at Ugas Khalifa Baledweyne Airport.
“The Ministry of Transport and Aviation of the Hirshabelle Regional Government denies the false documents that have been circulated on social media for the past few hours. The Ministry instructs all airlines and the Somali community that Ugas Khalifa Airport in Beledweyne will continue its daily work. The Ministry of Transport and Aviation is working in all circumstances for the community of Hirshabelle,” said a statement issued by the Ministry of Transport and Aviation of the Hirshabelle Regional Government.
