The Somali government has evacuated at least 27 Somalis who fled the conflict in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum.
According to an official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Somalia who spoke to VOA Somali, the evacuees, including four women, arrived in Ethiopia after crossing the border town of Metema.
Thousands of Somalis including students and businessmen are in Sudan where they have been killed in wars.
The fighting is between Abdel Fattah Burhan, the head of the armed forces and Gen. Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo who is the head of a militant group known as Rapid.
This action came at a time when other countries were evacuating their citizens from Sudan early, after the security situation in the country got out of control.
Many Somalis are still stuck on the border between Sudan and Ethiopia, even though the Ethiopian government has allowed them to enter the country.
