The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamse Abdi Barre, today made some changes to his Cabinet.
A decree issued by the Prime Minister’s Office removed some of the former ministers from their posts, and also appointed new members to the Cabinet.
The decree appointed Ambassador Jamaal Mohamed Hassan as the Minister of Trade and Industry of the Federal Government of Somalia, and removed the former Minister of the Ministry, MP Mahmoud Geesood.
The decree also appointed Senator Ayuub Ismail Yusuf as the Minister of Public Works and Reconstruction, taking over from the former Minister of the Ministry, MP Dr. Elmi Mahmoud Nur.
The decree was read to the media by the Spokesperson of the Federal Government of Somalia, Abdinasir Sahansaxo, who said that the appointment has come into effect, and is part of efforts to accelerate the activities of government institutions.
Finally, Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre instructed the new ministers to take up their duties immediately and to make additional efforts related to work.
