The Somali Federal Government’s Cabinet, which held its weekly meeting today, approved three agreements in the fields of Education and Research.
The agreements approved by the Cabinet today were submitted by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Higher Education, which signed these agreements with Uganda, Qatar and Algeria.
The agreements approved at the meeting were an agreement between Somalia and Uganda on Education, an agreement between Somalia and Qatar on Higher Education and an agreement between Somalia and Algeria on Higher Education and Research.
Today’s meeting of the Somali Cabinet was chaired by the Second Deputy Prime Minister of the Somali Government, Jibril Abdirashid Haji Abdi, and the meeting also heard reports related to the country’s general security and the fight against Al-Shabaab from the Ministries of Internal Security and Defense.
Finally, the Council of Ministers commended the recent successes achieved by the forces in the fight against Al-Shabaab militants, as part of the plan to ensure security and liberation of areas where Al-Shabaab militants are still hiding.
