The Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs of the Somali Government, Sheikh Mukhtar Robow Ali, who met in Mecca with the Head of Religious Affairs (DIYANET) of Turkey, Prof. Dr. Ali Erbasha, requested that his Ministry be supported in the establishment of the Zakat Fund.
Minister Robow told Prof. Dr. Ali Erbasha that his Ministry has a great need to implement the Somali Zakat Registry Fund and develop the skills of the Ministry’s staff.
The meeting took place at the Turkish Hajj Affairs Office in Mecca and discussed strengthening relations and cooperation between the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs of Somalia and the Turkish DIYANET.
Minister Mukhtar Robow noted that they need to establish the Endowments Agency, the Zakat Registry Fund and train experts and staff from the Ministry who will participate in the establishment and establishment of these institutions.
All of these plans that the Minister requested from the Turkish Diyanet are part of the national plan that the Federal Government of Somalia aims for over the next five years, according to a statement issued by the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs of the Somali Government.
