Opposition members are set to hold a conference in Mogadishu in the coming hours to discuss the general policy of Somalia.
Some opposition members have confirmed to local media that they will hold a conference today to discuss the future of Somalia, with the main issue being elections.
Former Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Rooble, who is part of the opposition, was seen in a very busy mood at his residence in the capital last night.
Rooble confirmed in a statement he shared with the community that the conference will be held today in Mogadishu after he met with former Speaker of the House Sharif Hassan Sh. Aden and members of the House of Representatives last night, who he said discussed the political situation in the country.
The conference is expected to feature former Somali President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, former Prime Ministers Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke, Hassan Ali Khaire, Abdi Farah Shirdoon, Mohamed Hussein Rooble, and former Speakers of the House of the People Sharif Hassan Sheikh Aden and Mohamed Mursal. There are also current members of the House of the People and former ministers who are expected to appear on the platform.
