Yemeni Foreign Minister Shaykh Muhsin Al Zendani has said that the news circulating about the sale of the Yemeni embassy in Somalia is false.
Minister Al Zendani revealed that there are various messages from some media outlets to clarify the issue of the Yemeni embassy in Somalia, and noted that what is happening is propaganda and baseless.
“They want to discredit the work of the ministry in the world, as well as its diplomatic relations with other countries, and we know that this is a false and organized accusation,” he said in a brief statement to one of the Yemeni media outlets he was interviewing.
He called on the media outlets to take responsibility for what they report and warned against spreading false news about the sale of the Yemeni embassy in Somalia.
Some journalists from Yemen recently published on social media that Yemen has two buildings in Somalia, one old and one newly built, and therefore it is planned to rent or sell the old building and transfer the proceeds to the Central Bank of Yemen through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
