The Somaliland police have arrested two men accused of killing their mother in Habaslay area of Togdheer region on December 23, 2024.
The girl who was killed, named Amina Yusuf Ismail, was said to have killed one of her two sons and buried them. The police of Togdheer region, which operated in this crime, arrested the accused.
“We sent the matter to the police, we investigated, the deceased woman named Amina Yusuf Ismail and we arrested her two sons,” said a police officer. “When we checked, we were told that there were 7 stab wounds,” he said.
The officer said that one of the accused confessed to the crime: “The words written about the man the woman gave birth to were, ‘I was the first, and her death was the last'”.
The brutal murder case shocked the community after it came to light, as it was said that the deceased was buried after she was killed and the incident was not immediately reported.
