The Jubaland state government in a press release said that it is very sorry for the fighting that happened in the Raskambooni area, and described it as a sad and avoidable war between Somali youths.

They accused President Hassan Sheikh of using the National Army for political purposes, and he deployed troops to a peaceful region free from insecurity for more than 13 years.

Jubaland stressed that such actions undermine the reconstruction of government institutions in Somalia, especially the military.

Jubaland called for emphasis on liberating the areas still controlled by Al-Shabaab, instead of targeting peaceful regions.

The press release confirmed that Jubaland is committed to treating all wounded soldiers in a humane manner, providing them with complete medical care, and returning them safely to their homes. They also reiterated that they are ready for dialogue and peaceful resolution of political disputes.

In the end, the press release said, ‘The solution lies in dialogue and compromise, not one that is sought at the point of a gun.
