The deputy governor of Sanaag region of Somaliland, Jama Mohamud Warsame, joined SSC Khatumo this morning.
The governor is said to have gone to Fiqifuliye district, south of Sanaag, where the SSC Khatumo army is stationed, and he also took two vehicles with one loaded with guns.
“We have always been together in our hearts and we have never been apart. I thank you for your hospitality once and for the third time. We will talk to each other in the meeting,” said G. Jama who spoke to the media after leaving.
Recently, there have been ethnic conflicts in the city of Eerigabo that have caused insecurity, as various people have been killed in the city. Somaliland has said that anti-peace groups are responsible for fueling the conflict. On the other hand, SSC Khatumo has blamed Somaliland. Erigabao’s orders.
The government of Somaliland recently imposed a curfew on the city for the second time, after it said that armed groups had arrived. In the middle of this year, peace was brought to the city after the government of Somaliland and the local intellectuals made an agreement between the people who were involved in the conflict.
SSC Khatumo, for its part, is very interested in the city of Eerigabo coming into its hands, while it sees Somaliland as a city that can never be cut off from its land.
