A planned operation was carried out in Bur-Helede area under Bur-Hakaba District in Bay Region, Al-Shabaab head in charge of finances in Bur-Hakaba district was arrested.
The arrested officer was identified as Aliyow Isaaq Macalin, who is the head of finance for the Al Shabaab group in Bur-Hakaba district of Bay region.
The Commander of the South West Darawi Force, Bur-Hakaba District Division, Mohamed Hassan Adan (Sandheere) was leading the operation that captured this officer in charge of Al Shabaab’s finances.
Also, the officers of the South West Army said that at the time of his arrest, Aliyow Isaaq was engaged in cutting the tires of vehicles using different roads in Bur-Hakaba District of the Bay Region as stated in a statement from the South West Administration.
In recent times, the South West Army in the Bur-Hakaba district has been conducting planned operations against the Al-Shabaab group.
