Somali businessmen have implemented a fish laboratory in Mogadishu, whose job will be to ensure the quality and health of fish in the country and those exported abroad, which will contribute to the development of the nation’s fisheries.

The Minister of Fisheries and Blue Economy of the Federal Government of Somalia, Ahmed Hassan Adan, who made a brief speech at the opening ceremony, said that the ministry stands by the businessmen in this regard.
“This laboratory will work to ensure the quality and health of fish in the country and those exported abroad, which are among the things that are in great demand in our country.” said Minister Ahmed Hassan Aden.
This laboratory will be part of the New Fisheries Initiative and will be an important building block in supporting the development of sustainable fisheries, providing advanced training and expertise for Somali fishermen.
