The Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Ports and Maritime Transport of the Federal Government of Somalia, Saddam Mohamud Abdi, resigned last night, and he will be the third Minister to resign within a few days from the Government of Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre.

The deputy minister who left the job and is a member of the People’s Assembly is based in Puntland, and he explained his resignation as one rooted in the conflict between the Federal Government and the Puntland and Jubaland administrations.

The minister revealed that his resignation was hastened when he saw that the development projects for the Puntland State Government were politicized.

Saddam said that the Government of the Federal Republic of Somalia is organizing a conflict that will fuel the areas of Jubaland.
