The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamse Abdi Barre, has appointed the commander of the Somali Police Force, Major General Sulub Ahmed Firin as the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Transport and Aviation XFS.
The appointment of Sulub coincided with the appointment of the commander of the Somali Police Force, Gen. Asad Osman Diyano, presented at the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the government of Somalia.
President Hassan Sheikh last night promoted Sulub Ahmed Firin to the rank of Sergeant Major, after a farewell ceremony was held for him which was attended by the President.
The president praised the outgoing police commander for his achievements in protecting the security of the country, praising him for enforcing the laws of the military to ensure the efficiency of the military.
It has been a long time to change the commander of the Somali Police force, replacing Gen. Asad Osman Diyano from Puntland, who is the opponent of President Deni.
President Hassan Sheikh and the Prime Minister have been fighting to replace the commander, but now it seems that they have agreed to include the commander in the cabinet.
