The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia Hamse Abdi Barre and his delegation are participating in the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
A statement issued by the Office of the Prime Minister of Somalia said that the Prime Minister will participate this week in the High Session of the World Leaders of the United Nations General Assembly, and the Prime Minister will deliver a critical speech there.
“A delegation led by the Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hamsa Abdi Barre, will participate this week in New York City, the high-level meeting of world leaders of the United Nations General Assembly,” said the statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office.
The theme of this year’s United Nations General Assembly is that “no one is left behind” and the world works together to promote peace, ensure sustainable development and protect human dignity for today’s and future generations.
“Hamza Abdi Barre’s speech at the forum is expected to focus on the important role of the African continent in setting international agendas, with particular emphasis on the importance of unity and diversity as the basis for achieving peace and sustainable development.” said in a statement from the Office of Prime Minister Hamse.
