The ex-spokesman of Somalia’s presidency, Abdirashid Mohamed Hashi (Mayor), has denied the government of President Farmajo that it was planning to convert the school cemetery into a commercial hotel, according to the Minister of Defence.
Abdirashid Hashi, who is now the spokesman of the former president of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, described the statement of the Minister of Defense as false.
He said that the minister’s statement is to legitimize the current plan for the government to take over the school cemetery, saying that it is a business plan and a scam against public property.
“The news from the government last night was not based on the truth. It is true that Hassan Sheikh’s government has become famous for tribalism, corruption and lies,” said the mayor.
Abdirashid Duqa said that the government of President Farmajo has completely transferred the public interest land to the current government.
He said that there is a need for the Somali people to hold the government accountable for the reason why the public land is being transferred to a private person, as he said.
