Somali forces in the Gor-Gor region, with support from the locals, seized 150 tanks containing fuel and explosives powder.
The operation with these materials took place near the city of Harardhere in the south of Mudug region, after the government forces received information about this matter.
The army officials said that the shipment belonged to the Al-Shabaab group and was headed to the areas controlled by the group, and they added that they have arrested two suspects who are currently being investigated.
Government forces have already thwarted car bombings that Al-Shabaab wanted to attack in Galmudug areas.
However, Al-Shabaab recaptured some of the areas in Southern Mudug a few months ago, after the government and local forces left there.
