The command of the security forces of the South West administration has introduced many members of the Al-Shabaab group in the city of Baidoa, the capital of Bay region.
The Al-Shabaab members who were exposed in Baidoa are 12 people who were arrested by the army in operations in and around Baidoa.
The members of the South West security forces were said to be in charge of Al-Shabaab’s collection of funds, which the group calls “Sakawad” and the Jabhada group fighting for Al-Shabaab.
“These extortionists were arrested in Baidoa city and the surrounding areas after the army conducted extensive operations in the past months in Baidoa city and the surrounding areas. These members were captured by the South West Security Forces. ” was said in a statement issued by the NISA Command in the South West.
These Al-Shabaab men are both young and old, and it is not the first time that the NISA forces in the South West have arrested members of the Al-Shabaab group and exposed them.
