The Ministry of Climate Change in Somalia has issued a meteorological warning to people living in areas near the Shabelle River.

The Ministry of Environment said that the river Shabelle, towards the city of Beledweyne, has risen to the level where the river can flood.

They connect the public to water bodies such as rivers and streams.

Several parts of Somalia received rain this May, with heavy rains reported in Hirshabelle, Puntland, and Jubbaland.

A HOL reporter reporting from Puntland areas said that the rains in Puntland areas are moving the troops to the main road that connects King Garowe and Bosaso. The flood has cut several bridges across the Amazon River near Garowe.
