The new ambassador of the federal government of Somalia to Turkey, Fathudin Ali Mohamed, visited one of the prisons in Ankara, Turkey, where Somali citizens are imprisoned.
The Somali citizens in prison visited by Ambassador Fathudin are accused of various crimes, and the Ambassador observed the condition of the Somali citizens in the prison he visited.
“Today we were able to visit one of the prisons where young Somalis are imprisoned, which is located in the city of Ankara. The visit was part of observing the conditions of these young people, and it will be part of many visits to We will go to the different prisons in Turkey,” said Somali Ambassador to Turkey Fathudin Ali Mohamed.
He also told the Somali Ambassador to Turkey that he has a great responsibility to deal with the Somali people who are imprisoned in Turkey.
“We, as representatives of the Somali government, have a responsibility to advocate and deal with abuse or problems,” said Ambassador Fathudin Ali.
The ambassador called on the Somali people living in Turkey to respect the laws of that country.
Finally, the Somali citizens who are locked up in the country’s prisons are mostly migrants and others who have violated the laws of their stay in the country.
