The reports coming from Teedaan village, one of the villages under Mahaas district in Hiraan region, say that lightning has killed a lot of livestock, after it rained for many hours in that village.
The lightning killed more than 300 animals, all of them Ari, which were said to be staying in one camp at the time of the lightning strike.
Ali Abdi Amin, known as Ali Afey, who is the person who killed the livestock, told the media that he did not save a single animal from all his livestock.
“A number of 300 animals were goats. The animals that were killed by lightning were in one camp and we were planning to go to other villages due to the rain because we left the winter. It started raining at nine o’clock in the night and then the lightning came. “It happened in the cattle camp and they were all scared,” he said
Ali Afey.
He also said that the animals killed by the lightning lived in three families of 40 people, and now they have nothing.
“There are 2 families living there, me and my son, we have no other animals except goats, camels and cows. We didn’t live with goats, but he has passed away,” said Ali Abdi Amin Ali Afey. .
However, the lightning that killed the animals is coming, as the spring rains have started in the country, and the federal government has warned of possible floods due to the rains.
