The commander of the Somali National Security and Intelligence Agency, NISA, Abdullahi Mohamed Ali Sanbaloolshe, has spoken strongly about the repeated tribal wars at the borders of Hiran and Middle Shabelle regions and at the checkpoints.
The head of the security agency spoke first about the renewed tribal war, describing the war between the brothers who live together in the two regions as a great tragedy.
“I am sorry for what is happening here, there is no Somali person or official responsible for what happened, and it is unfortunate. We have one enemy, but we do not have an enemy, I believe,” said Commander Sanbaloolshe.
Sanbaloolshe called on the intellectuals of the conflicting communities to work together to live peacefully in the area.
“It is said that there is peace in a man’s bed, and it is said that when there is peace, there are two men for every man, so let us work for the peace of these areas and you know how to bring them together,” said the Commander.
The director of NISA also said that the federal government will never accept from now on to place checkpoints in Hirshabeelle administrative areas, noting that they are the most places where checkpoints are located.
“Now that God has said that there will not be a checkpoint for a tribe, don’t tell me, I want them to do it,” said commander Sanbaloolshe.
