A hundred police officers sent for overseas training.

The Somali Police Command has bid farewell to nearly 100 Somali Police officers, who are undergoing advanced training in countries in Africa, Asia and Europe.

The Commissioner of Planning and Training of the Police Force, Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed, said that 84 officers of the Somali government are being sent to China, Serbia and Egypt, saying that it is the largest number of police forces being sent abroad.

“We are sending 20 of the officers to China, 25 of them to Serbia, while we are sending 24 officers and 15 military trainers to Egypt to receive training in criminal investigation and management.” Said Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed.

He said that 101 soldiers are currently abroad for advanced training.

The Chief of Police, Sulub Ahmed Firin, added that the police officers who have been sent for training should make good use of the increased knowledge sent by the government.
