The Independent National Electoral and Boundaries Commission (INEBC) has officially announced the list of members who won seats in the new House of Representatives of the South-West State of Somalia, following the disputed elections held on 10 May 2026.
A letter from the office of the Chairman of the commission, dated 25 May 2026, stated that the election results came after the Supreme Court of the Federal Republic of Somalia finally approved the election results, based on the provisions of the National Electoral Law and the law establishing the commission.
INEBC said that the official list of members who won seats in the new House of Representatives of the South-West was attached to the announcement letter and was officially released yesterday, Monday.
Meanwhile, the letter also noted that three seats in the general list of the House of Representatives are missing from the “political organizations they were competing for,” with the expectation that these parties will complete the remaining members on their lists.
