The U.S. government has announced that ICE forces are withdrawing from Minneapolis, in what it describes as a strategic move to focus on law enforcement within the United States.

After weeks of intense operations in cities across Minnesota, the decision has been made to step up efforts to combat illegal immigration within the United States, with ICE focusing on other states with high levels of illegal aliens.

“We’ve done important work in Minneapolis, but it’s time to focus on enforcing immigration laws within the United States,” said Border Patrol Agent Tom Homan.

ICE launched Operation Metro Surge in Minneapolis in early December, targeting criminals suspected of financial theft and other illegal activities.

During the operation, several Somalis, both legal and illegal, were arrested in the raids. Two white Americans have also died in protests against the Somali deportations.

However, their operations have been hampered by the fact that everyone deported from Minneapolis is being returned to their Minneapolis neighborhood.

According to Acting Director Todd Lyons, ICE will begin operations in Southern California, where he said there are a large number of illegal aliens.

As this story went to press, a group of ICE officers were seen swarming a restaurant in Southern California.
