The United States has announced a reward of up to $5 million for information leading to the capture of Khadra Ciise, a senior leader of the Islamic State group.
Khadra Ciise, also known as Ummu Qacqaac Somalia, whose information was published on the US Department of Justice website, is said to be a Dutch citizen of Somali origin.
She is accused of supporting suicide attacks and killings targeting innocent civilians. In addition, Khadra Ciise is suspected of spreading the extremist ideology of the ISIS group and of being involved in recruiting new members to join the group.
“If you have important information that can lead to the capture of Khadra Ciise, you may be eligible for this reward,” the US news agency said.
Khadra Ciise is also said to have cared for kidnapped children. In 2019, she was in custody of two American children, Yusuf and Zahra Shikder, who she took to an unknown location in Syria after their mother was killed in an ISIS airstrike.
The woman’s whereabouts are unknown, but the United States has placed her on its most wanted list with a multi-million dollar bounty on her head.
