A planned operation carried out by the Kenyan army attacked an Al-Shabaab camp in DigDiga area of ​​Faafi area, under Garisa district.

The operation started with information received from the local residents, who informed the authorities about an attack that the militant group is planning to target security officials in the region.

The troops chased the Al-Shabaab militants in the Digigi forest, where they succeeded in ambushing the group that was preparing for their attack.

It has been confirmed that two Al-Shabaab members were killed and several others injured in the conflict.

The Kenyan army seized a cache of weapons including AK-47 rifles, ammunition, hand grenades and other materials.
