The opposition party Wadani and the Kaah Association of Somaliland signed an official cooperation agreement this morning in the city of Hargeisa.
The parties have agreed that Kaah’s supporters will vote for Wadani candidates for the presidency and at the same time, Kaah will be given a share in the government Abdirahman Irro will establish if he wins.
They also agreed to re-open the constitution and review the system of seat allocation in Somaliland, so that the people of Awdal can be given more representation.
The parties agreed that it does not affect the territorial integrity of Somaliland, the region and the people of Sool are important for the construction of Somaliland, so the situation in the region will be resolved peacefully if they win the election.
The Waddani party has been showing momentum and support in recent years, which shows that the party wants to ascend to the seat of the presidency of Somaliland.
