The government of Somalia has condemned the killing by Israel of the head of the political office of Hamas, Ismail Haniya, may God have mercy on him, which happened in Tehran, Iran.
The government of Somalia described this action as being against international humanitarian law.
“Somalia warns of an increase in violence that could lead to more violence against civilians, which could lead to a large-scale armed conflict in the Middle East,” said a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Somalia.
“We insist on the need for the international community to take responsibility and take immediate measures to stop Israel’s attack on Gaza and its violations of international law and UN resolutions,” the ministry said. .
Somalia offers its condolences to the Palestinian government, the Palestinian people, and the family of Dr. Haniya and his friends, may God have mercy on them.
