The Jubbaland administration’s Dervish army, the Birjeh brigade, carried out an operation in the forest area of the Bula Haji area, killing and wounding members of the Al-Shabaab group.
In the operation, it was reported that the army killed 2 members of Al-Shabaab who recently attacked Bula Haji area, who were said to have been hiding in the forest area for the past few days.
Birjeh forces also captured the life of a third member who was hiding in the forest and was killed in the operation.
“The heroes of the Bir-Jeesh Brigade of the Jubbaland Darwish army recently found three armed conspirators who were part of the attack in a forest area west of Buulo-Haji, who were hiding in the forest. Two of them were killed and one of them was injured, who is now being held in a special military hospital. Also, the weapons that were taken away from him were released,” said a brief statement from the government.
This operation coincides with last week’s attack by the Al-Shabaab group in Bulo Haji area killing more than 100 Al-Shabaab members who attacked the area.
