The Minister of Defense of the Federal Government of Somalia Abduqadir Mohamed Nur Jama has strongly responded to the criticisms of some politicians directed at the Federal Government.
Minister Jama said that there are politicians who are seeking the honor of killing the national forces and who are on the social media every day saying something about the country’s armed forces and the work they are doing is undeniable.
“Today it is being discussed that an election should be held in the areas where Al-Shabaab has been removed, not that the army should be among them and they are looking for positions and responsibilities,” said Somalia’s Minister of Defense Abduqadir Mohamed Noor.
He also said that Somali politicians need the support and encouragement of the country’s armed forces, which have achieved considerable success in the war to liberate the country from Al-Shabaab.
“Political friends of the government who criticize other things are open to talk about it, but it is not acceptable to have the white medicine as part of our army,” said Defense Minister Abduqadir Mohamed Noor Jama.
The statement by the Minister to the politicians whose names he did not disclose comes as yesterday a press conference was held in Mogadishu by the former president of the country Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed who criticized the way the federal government managed the war against Al-Shabaab.
