The Federal Government of Ethiopia has issued a statement denying the accusations made by the Federal Government of Somalia that it was one of the weapons that were recently bombed in the city of Abudwak.
A press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, written in Somali and English, said that Ethiopia is closely monitoring the provocative statements made by the government of Somalia.
Ethiopia said that all the accusations from the federal government of Somalia are baseless, and Ethiopia has been working tirelessly for thirty years and more to work for the stability and government building of the brotherly people of Somalia.
The press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia said, “Ethiopia is very sorry for the arbitrary and irresponsible statements made by the senior officials of the Federal Government of Somalia, to obscure the positive role of the Ethiopian government. in the government of Somalia”
This news from the Ethiopian government comes at the same time as the relationship between Somalia and Ethiopia has worsened since January 2024, after the agreement in Addis Ababa between the Prime Minister of Ethiopia Aby Ahmed and the President of Somaliland Muse Bihi Abdi, who was for Ethiopia to get part of Somalia’s water and land, instead of Ethiopia recognizing Somaliland as a government.
