Soldiers of the Somali Armed Forces who are undergoing training at Jaalle Siyad College and Candy Camp, said that they have been informed to bring their weapons to their communities.
Some of these soldiers who spoke to the media said that they have been stationed in the two camps for two months. They said that the commander of the infantry and his deputy told them that every soldier is required to bring a gun to serve the nation.
“They told us that you have 10 days to come, if you don’t come, you will be detained here, you are prisoners. This is the situation that this army has,” said one of the soldiers who spoke to the press.
These soldiers said that they belong to the 21st division of the Somali army. They pointed out that they were taken out of the war zones, to receive training.
No one spoke about the complaints of these forces. And their complaints came at a time when the government is preparing to re-liberate the areas held by Al-Shabaab in Galmudug.
