The Galmudug administration has welcomed the decision of the National Security Committee regarding the illegal weapons that were smuggled into the Galmudug region.
A press release issued by the Galmudug Presidency instructed the Galmudug judicial institutions to cooperate with the Federal Government to bring to justice those behind the introduction of these weapons into Galmudug, which caused deaths and injuries.
Galmudug demanded that the perpetrators be brought to justice as soon as possible.
Until now, no one has claimed responsibility for the weapons that have been handed to the people of Abudwak.
A delegation from the Federal Government of Somalia in Abudwak is working to return the weapons from the hands of the people.
