The President of the Somali Regional Government, Mustafe Cagjar, who spoke about this agreement, said that first of all, it is necessary to work to prevent the things that cause conflicts in the two areas, and it is important that the people displaced by this conflict be returned to their homes. to stop the conflict, avoid things that cause conflicts, and we are ready to implement the agreement,” said President Mustafa Cagjar.

On his part, the President of Anfarta Regional Government, Awal Arba, who also spoke about the agreement that his region entered into with the Somali region, said that it was agreed to stop the shooting and conflicts between the two regions, and hold a public dialogue through a constitutional framework.

So, the points that the two sides, the Somalis and the Anfar, have agreed on are, that an immediate ceasefire should be established, that the people displaced by the conflict in the two areas should be returned to the places they came from, that the problems that happened there should be ended. and That the two regions, Somalis and Africans, work to implement the peace agreement.

Among the things that were agreed upon was to resettle the people who suffered and were harmed by the conflict in the two regions, to withdraw and disperse the Somali and Anfar forces, to allow the residents of the cities that the conflict that there is a Referendum in accordance with the law of the Constitution of Ethiopia and that the military forces are transferred to the security of the three cities that were previously held together.

Some of the intellectuals of the Siti region of the Somali Regional Government who spoke about how they see this agreement reached the Somali and Anfarta leaders yesterday and said that on various occasions in the past such agreements have been reached, but now they see that this agreement implemented when the displaced people return to their places in peace and no more blood is shed.

The Somalis and the Anfar people living together in Ethiopia have been fighting for a long time, the previous administrations in those areas had wrongly agreed, while the land inhabited by Somalis was transferred to the Anfar administration at that time, the problem that arose there led to this conflict In the long tail of bloodshed, new agreements are reached every now and then, but we are waiting for the implementation of this latest agreement.
