A man who is said to be a fugitive murderer, who escaped the country secretly, was brought down from Aden Adde Airport in Mogadishu today.

This man named Mohamed Omar Isse is accused of killing a deceased named Mohamed Ahmed Farah in Nugal region on 17-05-2023 last year.

A statement issued by the Somali Police said that the man who committed the murder fled to Kenya, and shared his information with Interpol. The man was said to have been in Kenya using a false name, Abduqadir Omar Ali. to be anonymous.

“The head of foreign relations of the Somali police shared his information with the various Interpol offices, and it was found that he lives in Kenya and used the name Abduqadir Omar Ali in order not to be identified. On 21-06-2024 he went to the Somali Embassy in Kenya, to He cut the document for Go Home, and he cut it under the false name of Abduqadir Omar Ali,” said a statement issued by the Somali Police.

However, the fugitive man who was captured by the Somali Police is expected to be handed over by the Somali Police to the Puntland Regional Court of Nugal which has already requested the man’s extradition.

It is not the first time that this kind of cooperation between the International Police Interpol and the Somali Police.
