The President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, today opened the consultative conference of the East African Community in Mogadishu. The East African Community umbrella, especially the opportunities for businesses and civil society.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who gave a long speech at the meeting, said that the people and the Somali government are committed to good neighborliness and to strengthen cooperation at the regional level in accordance with the common interests of the region, saying that his government gives special priority to investment and for governments to legally share opportunities.
The President of the Federal Government also noted that the desire of the Ethiopian government to obtain a part of Somalia’s water is one that eliminates cooperation and exchanges between governments, peace and stability in the region.
“I want to make it clear to the Somali community and the world that Ethiopia is against the illegal way it wants to reach our sea. itself reaches the Djibouti Sea,” said President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
Finally, President Hassan Sheikh emphasized in his speech the importance of finding cooperation and solidarity to develop the country’s economy and create sustainable job opportunities, as there is severe unemployment in Somalia that forces young people to migrate from the country.
