The forces of the Federal Government of Somalia and the local people operating in the city of Eldheer in the Galgaduud region have captured a foreigner belonging to the Al-Shabaab group.
The foreigner who was born in Yemen was said to have been arrested by the army in Mareeg, one of the areas under the town of Eeldher.
“The National Army and those fighting for the right of the area who received information about the conspirators conducted a search operation on the shores of Galgaduud region, and they arrested this man,” said a news release from the Federal Government.
The foreigner was identified as one of the Al-Shabaab militants who recently attacked the Eeldheer district and were defeated in the attack.
Finally, heavy operations are still going on in Eeldheer and its surroundings with the cooperation of the government forces and the local people, who have recently defended themselves strongly from an attack by the Al-Shabaab group.
