Reports from the Galgaduud region say that the forces of the federal government of Somalia and the Galmudug administration have succeeded in defeating a group of militiamen who fought yesterday in the Landheere area between the towns of Aabudwaq and Herale.

The forces that managed to separate the militias from the Marehean and Dir clans are led by the commander of the security and intelligence forces of the Galmudug administration, Faysal Canood.

This move between the forces between the two tribal militias coincides with yesterday’s 10-hour battle between the two tribal militias, in which more than 50 people died on both sides and more than 60 people were injured.

These wars between these clans which have repeated many times are based on disputes related to grazing land and tribal rights.

The Minister of Internal Affairs and Internal Security of the Government of Somalia has called for an immediate end to the bloody war that took place in Landere yesterday.

The president of Galmudug administration, Ahmed Abdi Kariye Qorqoor, has also appointed a ministerial committee to extinguish and deal with the war between the fraternal clans that caused a lot of damage, which the government forces and those of Galmudug succeeded in extinguishing.
