There are more reports of casualties and injuries as a result of a communal war that lasted for several hours yesterday in areas between the towns of Aabudwaq and Hareele in Galgaduud region.
The confirmed damage caused by the tribal war is the death of more than 50 people and the injury of more than 60 people, including the tribal militias who fought and the security forces of Galmudug who are working to stop the war.
People with various injuries have filled hospitals in the cities of Abudwaq, Herale and Adado, which are all part of Galgaduud, and this war is the most destructive in recent times in the central regions.
This war between the militias from the Marehean and Dir clans is based on clan killings between the two sides, and it is still feared that it will explode again today.
The Galmudug government and the federal government have called on the Dir and Marehaan clans who are fighting to stop the war as soon as possible and resolve any issues through the negotiation table.
