Puntland’s security forces, called PSF, have announced that they have captured two members of the Daesh group from Tanzania.

The two members of the PSF said that they survived the attack by the United States last week on a Daesh base in the Af-as area of the Bari region.

These two members, Imraan Mohamed Alawi and Mabruuk Nassor Saidi, were arrested 30 km away from the area where the bombing took place, following a follow-up by the PSF who had information about the men.

However, the US said it killed 3 Daesh members in this attack.

The PSF, supported by the United States, is working to fight Al-Shabaab and Daesh.

It is an army that does not take orders from the Puntland presidency. In recent times, there have been reports that the officers of this army have close ties with the Federal Government of Somalia.
