The Disaster Management Agency of the Somali government has warned of the storm called Laly, which is approaching coastal cities, especially Mogadishu, Barawe, Marka, Jamame, Kismayo and Badhadhe.

In a press release from the organization, it was said that the biggest fear of the storm is that it will cause property damage. The agency has expressed particular concern about coastal areas, where the most vulnerable areas can be affected by oil.

The agency warned people living in coastal areas to be aware of the dangers of the typhoon approaching their areas, and told them to remove their fishing equipment from the sea and stay away from the coastal area.
