Some parts of Hawa tako and Koshin in Baledweyne town were displaced last night and today there is the most displacement, after the flood broke through the Shabelle River in Baledweyne town.

Dhagha Jibis, Raderka, Kutiimo and Laba branches in Koshin and Hawa taka districts are the places where most of the families are fleeing until last night.

Some of the displaced people from Kooshin and Hawa taako neighborhoods told us that in many places that were previously closed off, groups profiting from the displacement of the flood have opened the water, and this has caused most of the families to be displaced from their homes.

The people living in the neighborhoods of Bundaweyn and Howlwadaag are now facing the worst fear, as the level of the river has reached its highest point, and there are groups that want to open the water to the people to displace them.

However, every year when the Shabelle river brings a lot of water, there are groups who are used to open the river water, and there is no powerful authority that can deal with the groups who open the river water during the night.
