The President of the Puntland state, Said Abdullahi Deni, said that the decisions that came out of the meeting of the National Consultative Council in Mogadishu are not related to Puntland.

President Deni, who spoke to the press today in Garowe, said that the meetings that have not been completed cannot be sought in the interest of the Somali nation.

“A few people make decisions that do not really reflect the community’s feelings, it is killing time. I hope common sense prevails. I hope these people will accurately describe the complicated situation in the country,” said President Deni.

Deni said, the insecurity that exists in many parts of Somalia, and the difference in opinion of the Somali people has reached a very high level. He said that there is a need to work on the unity of the people.

President Deni’s statement comes as the consultative council meeting was concluded yesterday in Mogadishu, without reaching any agreement, apart from the agreement to strengthen the completion of the remaining provisions of the review of the constitution and the war against al-Shabaab.
