The President of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, received the British Ambassador to Somalia Amb Mike Nithavrianakis who is on a business trip to Somaliland.
According to the presidency, the meeting discussed important issues, including the acceleration of the various joint projects between the UK and Somaliland and the preparation of the expected elections.
The British ambassador to Somalia praised Somaliland for its democratic progress and peace, while President Bihi thanked the ambassador.
The British government is one of the stakeholders in the Somaliland elections, helping to develop Somaliland’s democracy.
The presidential and political party elections are scheduled to be held in Somaliland later this year.
