A press release from the Ministry of Information of the Federal Government of Somalia has revealed the damage caused by the operation of the government forces and those of the international friends in the areas of the Middle Shabelle and Galgaduud.
The operation took place in the areas of Ali Heelle and Barag Sheikh Amir, and four members of the Al-Shabaab group were killed in Ali Heelle, while 5 other members were killed in Barag Sheikh Amir.
“In the first operation, four militiamen were killed, a military vehicle and a truck were targeted by the Khawarij militiamen. Aamir in Galgaduud region” was said in a press release from the Ministry of Information of Somalia.
It was also stated in the newspaper that the operations were planned in a big way, and destroyed vehicles and military equipment belonging to the group.
Federal government forces and local people with the help of international friends are often carrying out operations against the Al-Shabaab group in areas and districts of the country.
