The police forces of Banadir region have carried out a planned operation in the neighborhoods of Wabari district in Mogadishu and arrested bandits who were committing robbery.
In the operation, the army arrested two young men who were said to be robbing the residents of those neighborhoods, and the gang members were arrested at the Wabari Police Station in Mogadishu.
The police have also shown the pictures of the two men, the weapons they used to attack people and the Bajaj motorcycle they used to facilitate the robbery.
“An operation carried out by the Somali Police Force this morning arrested a robber who was carrying out a robbery in Waberi District. On 14-05-2024 at around 03:45, the Waberi District Police Station received information that they were carrying out a robbery in Waberi District. Thieves driving a Bajaj motorcycle (RE Red M1B014/A 3547, and they arrested the two thieves who were driving a Bajaj motorcycle and were attacking people with a knife, “said a statement from the Banadir Regional Police Command.
The news from the police also said that the man is currently being investigated and will be brought to justice as soon as possible.
The police have been conducting operations in Mogadishu for the past few days to fight against gangs who commit robberies in the districts of Banadir region.
